If they played in the SB is anyone taking any other team to beat them in a winner take all scenario even money right now?
Now that Purdy isn't a rookie anymore it seems without a doubt they are the best team.
Of course the Eagles diverse offense and solid defense and the current bestQB(Mahomes) always have a shot.
Only time will tell if other teams gain chemistry and get better but for now and with last year.....it seems all too obvious.
But that is why they play the games.
All that being said I like the Browns this week if Watson plays + the points.

If they're healthy, they are the best team.

They're just loaded all the way around. Their only real vulnerability on either side of the ball is in the secondary, and even that is not that bad. Plus they can mask that a lot of the times with their elite pass rush.

Purdy has gone from unknown --> good enough --> a legitimately good QB. That has elevated them to another level in my view.

They were my SB pick. I feel pretty good about it right now, but it's a long season. And they seem to deal with injuries historically more than most teams.

Yeah it's a tough game to gauge IMO

49ers maybe have a "letdown" game of some sort after a statement win. But their margin of error is so high that it feels like they can play a pretty crappy game and still beat the Browns by 5+ easily.

Browns coming off a bye though and are tougher at home (when healthy). Also, how are the Browns opening with 4 of first 5 at home?

They got an all star team but long way to go, besides Ayuik, all of those guys are fairly injury prone.

I emailed draftkings and said gimme my mothafuking money you stole from me on DaBoll over Shanahan coach of year last year but they haven’t responded yet. Hopefully they do the right thing.

I'm attending Bengals/49ers Week 8. At this point just really hoping it's a competitive game.

Also hoping Bengals can get by Seattle and go to that game at 3-3 (bye in Week 7) because hard to believe they can win outright @SF right now, but it's the NFL

never know what your going to get with Seattle this season...out of the blue the line is giving Geno time to set up.
Toss up here ,it'll be close Seattle +3 right now.

friendly side wager greener?

I'll consider it. Problem is I'm very 50/50 on who to back here, so maybe a smaller fanboy wager on the Bengals

I think this is could be dogfight of a game. I came into the season pretty high on Seattle despite how much they faltered down the stretch last year. I just think Geno has proven it's not a fluke, they have done such a GREAT job drafting, and they have an awesome culture going for them.

Bengals might be on cusp of turning a corner though if Burrow calf is truly returning closer to normal.

I think both defenses could have some trouble. They both seem like hot/cold defenses. Seattle looks very vulnerable one week, then amazing the next. Bengals seem to have ebbs and flows as well.

This won't make my pick-5 card either way

Deal

Back to topic at hand

Yeah this 49ers team is scary good.

Like I said, the difference is that Purdy is genuinely good as opposed to just average/serviceable

Impressed with how quickly he gets rid of the ball...great release moves through progressions nicely....
Maybe the best in the league the past few weeks.

More I look at it, harder to justify the Browns this weekend

What edges do they have?

QB --> advantage SF
WR --> SF
RB --> SF
TE --> SF
OL --> SF
DL --> SF
LB --> SF
Secondary --> CLE
S/T --> SF
Coaching --> SF

Really only the secondary I would say Cleveland is better at

I guess having a bye plus maybe a letdown spot for the 49ers could keep it close. But this feels like SF/Pittsburgh....Browns are below average at all skill positions. I just think they're gonna struggle to score

Okay, I’ll bite….who is better after 5 weeks?
I would say Detroit, Miami, Kansas City a little better

I think they’ve been a little ahead of Dallas, Seattle, Jacksonville, and Buffalo

I think you could argue Philly is ahead of those teams because of their record, but I think a stronger case could be made they’re the 5th best team than the best team

Philly and SF are still the best two teams after week five…I make SF the best team right now…Miami doesn’t belong in the conversation until they get that defense fixed…

By the standings sure

But Philly has plenty of issues defensively themselves
